"Drawing from life can never be underestimated. It helps you build your observation skills and forces you to focus on what's important for a short amount of time before the subject disappears from your attention. It also helps with artist's block, whatever that means. "This is a sketch of an older gentleman I saw waiting for the bus. I call it 'Hurry Up and Wait!' His short stature and outfit were intriguing to me, so I had to capture his spirit in the short time frame that drawing from life allows."
