"One of my favorite Nintendo games as a kid was Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! With its limited motion, it was basically a game about timing and reflexes. Little Mac could fight his way through all 14 opponents, or you could skip straight to the champ by typing in 007 373 5963 (Shush, don't tell anyone). 'Super Punch' is my tribute to the fun times I enjoyed as a youth.
In my painting, Little Mac goes head-to-head with Iron Mike as Mario referees the fight. As Tyson sets up a shot, Mac moves in for the kill with a super punch to the midsection of Mike Tyson. Who wins? An interesting question-maybe there's a second painting waiting to happen to reveal the results.
